Mrs. Childress’s 1st graders played a game in math where they learned 10 pennies make a dime. In reading students played the game “boom clap” where they partner up and try to “catch” the vowel sound before their partner can.

AGR 3rd Graders (pictured are students from Ms. C's and Miss Ciccarone's classes) used Bee Bots this week to show their knowledge about place value. #BulldogPride

This week in math, Mrs. McFarland's 1st Graders worked together in small groups to count sets of coins up to $1.00. Counting coins helps us practice counting by 1s, 5s, and 10s. #BulldogPride!

What a great day of baseball with AGR 4th and 5th Graders! Thanks to Mr. Hallett for coordinating the trip, and to all of our chaperones! Lastly, thanks to the Fredericksburg Nationals for hosting students! #BulldogPride!

Many thanks to our PAC for grilling hot dogs and providing treats to our staff today! We appreciate your efforts and time to make us feel special! Thanks to Mr. Deep at 7-11 in Culpeper for donating the dogs and buns!

AGR 1st Graders participated in a variety of stations today, one of which being Bee Bots. Students coded the bots to move around on posters reviewing citizenship. Be sure to ask your children about the Bee Bots today! #BulldogPride

AGR 1st Graders in Mrs. Childress ' class worked with buttons to sort them according to size, shape, thick or thin, and color. They were able to tie in their vocabulary words for the week by picking out which buttons were beautiful, ugly, and weird. #BulldogPride

AGR Third graders learned the steps of the Scientific Method and completed many experiments this week testing how different substances interact with water. Pictured are students in Ms. Ciccarone's class #BulldogPride

AGR fifth graders went outside to explore the scientific process using Mentos and Coke. What an explosive experiment!

Pictured are students in Mrs. Sheads' 5th Grade class, who worked on mixtures. Students had to separate two or more combinations of food, and we were able to do it because they all kept their identities!

September is almost upon us! Attached is the lunch menu for elementary and middle schools.

Pictured are students from Mrs. Aylor's 2nd Grade class on a field trip to Luck Stone to see dinosaur tracks! #BulldogPride

This week in math, Mrs. McFarland's 1st Graders focused on combining shapes to make a new shape. Can you combine 2 triangles to make a square? How about 2 squares to make a rectangle? We also used new vocab words (right angles & vertices) when creating pictures using the shapes.

Pictured are AGR 2nd graders, preparing for tomorrow's Dino tracks field trip at Luck Stone - they are mining as geologists for “gems and minerals”. Students could only use a toothpick and paint brush to avoid damaging their gems. #BulldogPride

To help prepare for their upcoming field trip to Luck Stone to see the dinosaur tracks, AGR 2nd Graders learned about archeologists and paleontologists. Students had a chance to dig for “fossils” and assemble them. Pictured are students from Mrs. Aylor's class.

Check out these awesome authors! Mrs. Childress' 1st grade class wrote a First, Next, Then, and Last story using vocabulary words. The students made up the story all on their own as a class!! They then illustrated each section. They worked hard on this, super proud of them!

Last week, Mrs. McFarland's 1st Graders worked on counting back from 30. Students rolled dice, and then covered that number of chips on the counting board. Then they counted backwards to practice that skill. #BulldogPride
