Culpeper County Public Schools (CCPS) extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Culpeper community for once again demonstrating its commitment to supporting students in need. Through generous participation in the Feeding School Kids initiative hosted by the MARTIN’S store in Culpeper, community members played a vital role in the ongoing effort to eliminate food insecurity among CCPS students.
This year, MARTIN’S store managers Greg Funkhouser and Ricky Perry, CCPS Division Superintendent Tony Brads, and CCPS Food Service Director Greg Beamer gathered at the Culpeper MARTIN’S location for a special check presentation. The total donation raised through the initiative this year amounted to $6,922.35, a testament to the community’s continued compassion and commitment to helping children thrive.
The initiative invited customers to round up grocery purchases to the nearest dollar and convert CHOICE points into donations. “We are incredibly grateful to Martin’s and The GIANT Company for their continued partnership,” said Brads. “These donations go directly toward supporting students in our schools and ensuring they have the nutrition they need to learn and succeed.”
CCPS remains steadfast in its mission to support student well-being and is deeply thankful for the generous and ongoing support from the Culpeper community and its local business partners.
