Congratulations to Ms. Sarah Deal, Phoenix Teacher of the Year 2023-24. Ms. Deal's co-workers had the following to say when asked about Ms. Deal: "It is hard to know where to start to describe how important Sarah is to Phoenix. Her institutional knowledge and passion for our program and the students and staff she serves makes her an influential and extremely effective member of our team. Among other things, she is responsible for making and modifying the master schedule, serves as our Testing Coordinator, creates and monitors our SEL lessons, counsels students, listens to staff concerns, and helps to guide students through making transition presentations. She was instrumental in creating our school store and helps to run the Phoenix Depot daily. Sarah is also our school news team representative; she does great work highlighting all the positive things our students are doing. Although she would never seek the attention of being Teacher of the Year, she definitely has earned this recognition".
