Today, our 8th-grade science class had the pleasure of welcoming Bryan Jacobs, a retired Procurement Engineer from Dominion Energy! 💡 He shared real-world insights into the world of energy, engineering, and the importance of innovation in our everyday lives.




In celebration of Red Ribbon Awareness Week, our teachers and staff brought some Disney magic to the halls today! From Up adventures to Inside Out emotions, everyone embraced their favorite characters and spread positive energy throughout the school.

The 1st Career Café lunch at Floyd T. Binns Middle School was a success yesterday! Students had the chance to meet Park Naturalist Bobby Colicci in the library on Oct 17th, learning about careers in nature. 🌿





Yesterday was National Boss's Day. In honor of this, FTB office and specialist staff celebrated Mrs. Kilby with an underground Spirit Day by wearing Kilby temporary tattoos ! Also, some staff members wore leopard print in honor of Mrs. Kilby's favorite fashion choice. Thank you for all that you do Mrs. Kilby!






Our 8th graders had a fantastic field trip to CTEC on October 15th & 16th! 🎉 They had the opportunity to tour the amazing programs that will be available to them in high school, and it was an inspiring experience for all.





FTB FFA Officer Team hosted their first leadership retreat with CMS’s FFA and FCCLA Officer Teams. This was a great opportunity for the officers to collaborate, communicate and practice their listening skills. Thank you to Wine & Design for directing this event!



FTB FFA Horse Judging/Hippology team competed in their first contest of the year at VA State Fair. As a team they placed 5th! Thank you to Ms.Kaufman for chaperoning and coaching this team. Congratulations!

FTB FFA had a blast at VA State Fair yesterday! Layton and Bouldin placed 7th out of 22 teams for their Agriscience Poster. Trinley and Bailey placed 1st overall in junior AG Demo’s. Round of applause for these kids!
