Eastern View High School (EVHS) is proud to recognize Boy’s Basketball Coach Patrick Thornhill for achieving a significant milestone in the school’s basketball program history. On December 3, 2024, Coach Thornhill secured his 150th career win with a 62-55 victory over Charlottesville High School. This achievement underscores his remarkable dedication and success as the head coach of the EVHS Boy’s Basketball Team.
Coach Thornhill began his tenure as head coach during the 2015-2016 season, leading the team to the state tournament in his first year. Since then, his record has grown to an impressive 152 wins. Before taking on the role of head coach, Thornhill served as the JV head coach and varsity assistant coach for two years, laying the foundation for the team’s growth and success.
Throughout his coaching career at EVHS, Coach Thornhill has achieved numerous accolades, including:

In addition to his basketball accomplishments, Thornhill has also excelled as the coach of the EVHS Golf Team, leading them to three consecutive Battlefield District Championships from 2020 to 2022.
