Purpose
In accordance with the Virginia Board of Education and Family Life Standards of Learning, a School Health Advisory Board (SHAB) has been identified which includes individuals such as Central Office staff, an elementary school principal, a middle school principal, a high school principal, teachers, school counselors, a school board member, parents, a member of the clergy, a member of the medical profession, and other community members. The Family Life Committee is integrated in the SHAB.

Meetings
The SHAB will meet a minimum of two times per year. During these meetings, members of the family life committee may review any changes to curriculum as required by state law and legislative changes. In addition, the committee may review content and concerns brought forth by community or staff members.

• October 24, 2024 - Eastern View High School Forum at 6pm 

• March 20, 2025- Eastern View High School Forum at 6pm

2025-2026 School Year

• October 16, 2025 - Eastern View High School Forum at 6pm 

• Spring 2026 TBD- Eastern View High School Forum at 6pm
