Since its beginning, the Culpeper String Orchestra Program has set foot on technology. Marco Escobar has been conducting research and developing musicianship training using digital technology. It is the hope of this institution to acquire the equipment necessary to provide the leading music technology education in the state of Virginia.

All music students are introduced to computer applications in the section of music theory classes. Additionally, some of the technology subjects that are offered: beginning introductory course in MIDI that covers computer set-up and basic skills, electronic music fundamentals in notation.
